HOUSTON (October 17, 2013) As Signet Interactive prepares to celebrate its second anniversary at the end of October, it will commemorate the occasion with two new awards. The International Academy of the Visual Arts honored the company for its work in the marketing industry, while the Houston Business Journal named it one of the best places to work in Houston.

The 8th annual W3 Awards were announced by the International Academy of Visual Arts on September 25, and Signet won "Best in Show" in the Website, Energy category after overhauling the website for the well site services company Bayou Well Services. Over 4,000 entries were considered, and only 37 earned "Best in Show" honors. W3 Awards picks the most creative examples of web-based marketing annually, including videos, websites, apps and more.

In the Houston Business Journal's Best Places to Work contest, Signet ranked in the top 40 finalists on a list of 79 small to mid-size businesses. Based off anonymous, employee-submitted questionnaires, nominations were based on a wide range of factors, including benefits, room for employee growth, overall satisfaction with the work environment and more. In order to be nominated for the contest this year, companies needed at least an 85 percent employee approval rating, a higher standard than in any year past. The results were announced on October 16 at a luncheon hosted by the Houston Business Journal.

Company President Chris Mulgrew is optimistic about the company's current trajectory. "Signet Interactive has doubled in size every month since its inception," he says. "As we add to our talented team, we hope to provide more and better award-winning services for our current and future clients."

These are not Signet's first honors in 2013. The firm also received top honors at the AMA Houston Crystal Awards this past May, winning in the Website, Healthcare category for its work with the Charles E. Holman Foundation (CEHF), and receiving a nomination in Website, Small Budget for its redesign of Dillon's Automotive.
