HOUSTON (May 18, 2015) – Signet Interactive, an outsourced marketing and business process firm based in Houston, was awarded three Crystal Awards by the American Marketing Association (AMA) - Houston on Friday, May 15, 2015, making the marketing agency a recipient of six total Crystal Awards in the last three years.
Signet Interactive received Best In Show Awards in three categories: Marketing Campaign - Business to Consumer, New Website – Business to Consumer and Mobile Marketing Campaign. Signet was a finalist in all three categories as well as a finalist in the Marketing Campaign - Medium Budget category.

For the category of Marketing Campaign – Business to Consumer, Signet Interactive won based on the results of a cross-promotional branding and marketing campaign that prepared Big Play Scoring, a fantasy football app, for the 2014 NFL season. The campaign was called The Fantasy Football Upgrade, and Signet developed the website, established the social media presence, implemented media relations efforts and created a humorous, fictional character called Billy Paige Squire, who humanized the brand and highlighted the app’s features via YouTube videos, which were shared across Big Play Scoring’s various online channels. This marketing campaign resulted in over 72,969 app downloads, exceeding goal expectations by 46 percent.
For the New Website Category, Signet Interactive designed and developed a new responsive website for My Joy Yoga, which resulted in 400 new membership signups in six months, exceeding the client’s goal by 167 percent. In addition to ensuring the website, including its streaming services, were designed to respond on both desktop and mobile devices, Signet used large visuals that connected with the target audience, as well as a minimal layout for an easy-to-navigate user experience.
The Mobile Marketing Campaign award went to Signet’s Funny Drunk Text campaign for Thiessen Law Firm. This campaigned used geo-fencing around popular local Houston bars during peak drinking hours to advertise the criminal defense lawyer’s services using “funny drunk texts,” which included two main conversion points: clicks to Thiessen Law Firm’s website and saving the phone number of the lawyer, Mark Thiessen, directly to the user’s phone. The total number of conversions was 337, exceeding goal expectations by 237 percent.
